I am a 18 year old student from the Southern United States. I have been in the aviation industry for about 5 years, and I am working towards my Instrument Liscense. Now that I am old enough, I am trying to complete my private pilot training and get a small aircraft to use during college. Aside from aviation, I also enjoy designing electronics, writting software, traveling the world, controlling air traffic (via SATCO), restoring images, creating digital 3D artwork, and managing my new business .

I am now a freshman at Prarie View A&M University, studying Electrical Engineering. All was well in the land of aviation until I got attacked by a monster called midterms!! Now that everything has calmed down, I have continued working on my sim.

These are two shots from my favorite mall. It comprises a nice quota of my social life. I'm not the club type, but I do like heading out to the mall frequently. Luckily, this mall is right down the street from Home Depot and there is a Radio Shack in side, so I ended up here almost everytime I went shopping for simulator parts.

Unlike the rest of the flight sim community, I am not yet married or attacthed, but hopefully I will be one day soon. (I'm holding out for a college woman! :-).

I must give a large thanks to all my classmates from the class of 2000 who have constantly supported me. None of this would have been possible without their constant help and even antithesis. Especially my engineering instructor Mr. Austin Hayward. He has pushed me for four years to get my projects off paper and build something tangible. I have to admit though that I never would have guessed that I'de be working with people from all over the WORLD!

Some of My Other Projects

I also have a couple of other major projects which are in the works, some of which are nearing completion, and others of which are about 10 years away. Though I have many other active projects, here are some of the ones I hold highest on my list:

wpe2D.jpg (4964 bytes)

Sector Pro:  An add on program for Pro Controller that will allow users to create sector files in a GUI environment with an abundance of tools such as information validation, automatic spacing, and a "PaintBrush" style GEO screen. Anyone who would like a copy of the pre-beta may contact me at SectorPro@buildingasim.cjb.net- 80% complete

    The Endosonichyperpolymorphinizer
(whew!): This project would allow it's wielder to fire concentrated blasts of synthesized Electro-Magnetic Pulse (EMP) at an electronic device, thereby disabling it. Since it only fires blasts of energy, humans would be left unaffected while their weapons would be left useless. I'm hoping it will assist in situations such as high speed car chases and aerial battles. - 1% complete <g>

Project GS: This is a top secret project because it is fairly highly possible, but upon completion, it will allow persons to remain underwater perpetually. Not yet begun

Lottery Program: I don't have an official name for this software, but because of what it does, it doesn't really matter. It is meant to predict the lottery using a theoretical technique that I am testing. Hopefully it will work so I can buy a real 777!

3D Drawings: This is a newly attained skill of mine and is really more of a hobby for me, so I am spending lots of time creating 3D scenes such as these.

What I've learned from this project:

When I began the construction phase of this project in Mid November 1999, I knew very little about anything I was doing. I had never setup a network from scratch. I didn't know the difference between a Table Saw, a circular saw, a jigsaw, and a coping saw. I didn't even know what a jigsaw looked like.

Within a one week period, I had taught myself how to do each and every one of these task successfully. Though I figured most everything out on my own, I definitely can't omit the persons who gave me the trade secrets to get the job done to proffessional standards.

Mom: First and foremost I couldn't do anything without my mother. All those days she let me borrow the car to zoom across town to buy networking and construction materials. Not to mention the 17 years of preparation she has given me to get to this point. I love ya mom!

Dad: Although he couldn't be here to witness me construct my sim, his memory shall live on throughout my project. He always supported me in my flight endeavors, now I can never give up. I love ya dad...

Bob Lee (Uncle Bob): This guy is about as responsible for my successes as anyone. He has stressed to me, all my life, the importance of self education. Because he effectively taught me this, I have since taken it upon my self to aspire for excellence and participate in a large number of self initiated projects such as this one.

Jerome Chevalier (Master Carpenter): He has been a huge help as a material consultant. Without him, I would have made mistakes such as using machine screws for wood rather than using wood screws. He has also helped me keep the project under budget by giving me access to his vast array of tools. He also helped showed me a few things about connecting and finishing surfaces.

Austin Hayward (My Engineering Instructor): I can't begin to tell where Mr. Hayward has helped me. Since I was a freshman, he has always pushed me to take my projects to the next level" and I think we are both proud to say that after 4 years, I have finally done it! Thanks a million Mr. Hayward! He also helped me in the area of networking. One or two tips from him and my network was zooming.

Captain Bob Carnie: This is the guy who's office I hope to re-create! He and his crew allowed me to tour the flight deck of their 777 and ask questions and take pictures. Captain Carnie has been a golden resource throughout this project and his help has been much appreciated!

Mr. Lawrence Seals: At least 90% of the photos on this site are made possible because of my government teacher, Mr. Seals, who frequently let me borrow his digital camera. Although I have to fix all his printers at school everyday for repayment <g> his favors are still much appreciated.
