The 747-400 Collection

Created by: Robert Prather

The 747-400 Collection is a series of synoptic displays, for the 744, that run over a regular PC network. This application was designed to be used in full size flight simulators in which multiple monitors are used to simulate the various displays in the next generation aircraft. Each screen imports data remotely from Microsoft Flight Simulator via FSUIPC and uses it to provide realistic indications, and even extensive data which is not otherwise available in MSFS. Each display can be selected by using the function keys (F1-F12).

Displays Included

Settings.ini

This is a very important file to understand since it contains the initialization variables for every display. Using this file, you can position and resize the apps, as well as assign keypresses to various functions.

Key Presses

The 747 has an abundance of switches which need to interface with the applications to make them work properly. Therefore, the 744 Collection will accept keypresses for just about every switch on the overhead panel. Each shortcut will be specifyable via an external settings file or if enough people request it, I may just make an MSFS style keypress selection screen.
