Pro MFD Secondary EICAS Display

As most of you probably already know, there is so much information available about the engine, Boeing had to make two seperate screens to display all the information. Though the Secondary EICAS is not quite as critical as the Primary Display, it does contain some VERY important information about the operation of each engine.

Unlike the other instruments in this series, this application is not written in Visual Basic. Thanks to the help of good friend and gauge programmer Jason Tatum, I have been learning both Visual C++ and OpenGL, two VERY powerful applications. The only drawback to this though is that you will need to have an OpenGL accelerated graphic card or a high speed computer for this software to acheive peak performance. The information is virtually real-time even with low frame rates though, so many people may prefer to use there current systems to run this application, which is quite alright.

Release Projections
Everything is graphically in place on this display, so now the only addition left to implement is the FS communication system. As soon as I can get the conversions for all the necessary flight sim variables, I will add in the comm interface and release this software as a beta.

If all goes well, the ini file system will be in place for release 1 so that you will have to ability to customize this application for any glass cockpit based aircraft you'de like to.
